No accounts, no email, no tracking
EZDial has no sign-up, asks for no email address, shows no ads and uses no analytics or third-party scripts. Fonts and scripts are served from ezdial.net itself.
Numbers you look up
The Dial Builder works on the number you type and keeps nothing. The number is in the page address (so you can bookmark or share a result), which means it appears in the web server's standard access log, kept for a limited time for security.
Your Dial Book
Names, numbers, time zones and calling hours you add are stored on WeldonPC's server so the book can open from any device with its link. The link's secret is kept only as a one-way hash, and travels in a secure cookie and after the # in the link (which browsers do not send to servers). Delete the book and everything in it is gone from the live site at once; the nightly backups, kept for up to 14 days for recovery, are then overwritten.
Cookies
Two strictly necessary cookies: one that opens your Dial Book on this browser, and one that protects forms from forgery. No others.
Abuse limits
To stop automated abuse, the site counts new Dial Books per internet address per day using a salted one-way hash of the address; the counts are deleted after two days.
